The Story

Smiling Machines was founded in 2021 in Kavala, Greece, by five engineers who had spent over a decade working inside factories in production lines, in maintenance departments, and in operations management roles. We didn’t start this company as outsiders trying to sell a product. We started it because we lived the problems ourselves. We saw machines failing without warning, cybersecurity incidents halting production, human injuries from unsafe systems, and enormous waste in materials, time, and energy. We experienced the frustration of the engineers, the stress of the managers, and the resistance of traditional environments to adopt new technologies.

Mission
At Smiling Machines, our mission is to make manufacturing safer, more efficient, and more human-centric. We aim to reduce emissions, energy consumption, accidents, and cybersecurity threats while empowering employees to work in cleaner, smarter, and more rewarding industrial environments. Our systems help machines detect errors, become more resistant to cyberattacks, and protect the people who work around them leading to fewer losses in raw materials, less downtime, and safer workplaces.
